FAQs

I’m allergic to aloe vera. Can I use products that contain Ambrotose complex?

OSP contain aloe vera gel. Individuals with allergies or sensitivities to any ingredients in our products should always consult their personal physician before use.

Why do some of the labeled nutrients in PhytoMatrix supplement appear to offer less Daily Value (DV) percentage than what is listed for Catalyst tablets?

The advanced technology utilised in the formulation of PhytoMatrix caplets allows for the delivery of nutrients in a more natural food form, which may provide greater absorption and utilisation. The advanced formulation of PhytoMatrix supplement, utilising patented technology, may allow for more nutritional benefit from smaller quantities of natural ingredients.

Why do the calcium and magnesium in PhytoMatrix caplets have lower Daily Value (DV) percentages than the product’s other minerals?

Because calcium and magnesium concentrations are limited in plant tissue, and the recommended DV of these macro minerals is several hundred milligrams each, including 100% DV of calcium and magnesium from only plant sources, it would require many grams of plant material. This would result in an unreasonably large serving of several large tablets and a product that would be out of the price range of many consumers. Therefore, the calcium and magnesium in PhytoMatrix caplets have lower DV percentages than the product’s other minerals.

Why is there a notation on the PhytoMatrix label stating that dicalcium phosphate is not a preferred source of calcium?

The primary source of calcium in PhytoMatrix caplets is red algae (Lithothamnium). However, dicalcium phosphate, an excipient used for capleting, also contributes some amount of calcium.
Regulations require that we disclose this information, but Mannatech wants the consumer to know that we do not feel that it is as beneficial a form of calcium.

How do the plant-sourced minerals in PhytoMatrix caplets differ from the Ambroglycin complex in Catalyst tablets?

Plant-sourced minerals may be easily absorbed and utilised. The Ambroglycin complex is a blend of Ambrotose complex and dried herbs and vegetables. The Ambroglycin complex was designed to closely resemble or simulate a food source.
The plant technology utilised by PhytoMatrix caplets provides minerals in an actual food form, which represents the latest advancement in mineral technology.

How do PhytoMatrix caplets differ from Catalyst tablets?

While Catalyst tablets are a great vitamin/mineral product, PhytoMatrix caplets represent a whole new class of technology that, until now, has not existed anywhere. In addition to providing an all-natural vitamin complex, PhytoMatrix caplets utilise patented hydroponic technology to provide plant-sourced minerals in concentrated and beneficial amounts.

How do PhytoMatrix caplets compare with Phyt•Aloe® capsules?

Our PhytoMatrix caplets are a food-sourced multivitamin/mineral/phytonutrient product containing natural ingredients. They are designed to provide essential vitamins, minerals and standardised amounts of phytonutrients. Our Phyt•Aloe capsules are composed of high-quality fruit and vegetable powders, but they are not standardised. Our Phyt•Aloe capsules are formulated to supplement fruit and vegetable intake, but do not provide the same vitamin, mineral and phytonutrient content as PhytoMatrix caplets. Taking both PhytoMatrix caplets and Phyt•Aloe capsules together may increase the benefit to your health, but one product does not replace the other.

Can I use PhytoMatrix multivitamin and mineral supplement in place of a prenatal vitamin?

Mannatech’s PhytoMatrix caplets have been formulated to meet the nutritional needs of the average healthy adult. Prenatal vitamins are formulated to meet the nutritional needs of an expectant mother and her unborn child. If you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication, have a health condition or are planning a medical procedure, consult your health professional before use. Discontinue use and consult your doctor if any adverse reactions occur.

I’m allergic to many fruits and/or vegetables. Can I take Ambrotose AO capsules?

Our Ambrotose AO capsules contain broccoli, Brussels sprout, cabbage, carrot, cauliflower, garlic, kale, onion, tomato, turnip, papaya and pineapple. If someone has a sensitivity to any of these ingredients, they should be cautioned about the use of this product. Individuals with allergies or sensitivities to any ingredients in our products should always consult their personal physician before use.

Why are antioxidants important?

Antioxidant-rich nutrients help protect your cells against the harmful effects of toxins, environmental stress, poor diet and oxidative stress. Antioxidants also act as free radical scavengers.

What are free radicals?

Free radicals are reactive molecules that can enter your body and harm your cells. Toxins such as pollution, stress and even a poor diet can contribute to the creation of free radicals, which can lead to an acceleration of the ageing process. However, antioxidants reduce free radicals by contributing electrons to help maintain molecular stability.

What is hydroponic technology, and how does it affect the benefits of PhytoMatrix multivitamin and mineral supplement?

Hydroponics is a technology for growing plants in nutrient solutions, with no other support. Traditional agricultural systems grow plants in solid forms of support such as soil, peat moss, sawdust, etc. Hydroponic techniques allow for precise water and nutrient application directly to the roots of each plant. The hydroponic process for the mineral blend in PhytoMatrix caplets allows for controlled uptake of concentrated minerals, which are stored in plant tissues.

The exclusive hydroponic process utilised by Mannatech provides concentrations of essential minerals that can provide, in most cases, the minimum daily requirements with one daily serving (four caplets). This is significant because even fresh fruits and vegetables, which usually have high concentrations of vitamins, may be low in essential minerals.

Can men and women use PLUS™ caplets?

Yes, men and women can use PLUS caplets. Our PLUS caplets contain healthful amino acids that both women’s and men’s endocrine systems can use.

What are Glyconutrients?

Simply put, they are specialised ingredients derived from plants and aloe that provide targeted nourishment for your cells. There are trillions of cells in your body that talk to each other, but environmental toxins, age and bad eating habits can make it harder for them to communicate. This can lead to suboptimal health, which is why Mannatech, the innovator and pioneer of Glyconutrients, continues to cultivate this incredible technology so your body can do amazing things.
